At Catshack, we believe every step should be taken to minimise the stress and disruption associated with boarding. As such, we aim to provide your cat(s) with the diet they usually receive and will feed them at their usual times.

We are able to provide any cat food (wet and dry) available from supermarkets and other pet retailers.

  • Special/prescribed diet: If your cat requires a special/prescribed diet, we ask that this be supplied, and a discount will be applied to the booking fee.
  • Supplying your own food? Let us know! A 5% discount will apply to the booking.

Yes! You are welcome to bring your own food. A 5% discount will be applied to your booking if you bring your own food.

Please note: if your cat requires a special/prescribed diet, we ask that this be supplied.

To make your cat’s check-in/out and stay as comfortable as possible, please note:

  • Vaccination records: up-to-date records are required (please see our vaccination policies on our Health and Wellbeing page)
  • Medications: If your cat requires any medication, please bring a detailed schedule and extra dosage in case of late check-outs
  • Cat carrier: we respectfully request that all cats arrive and depart in a suitable cat carrier. We can store your cat carrier at Catshack throughout the boarding period.

You are welcome to bring your cat’s favourite blanket or toy. The familiar smell will comfort your cat while they settle in. However, we can’t guarantee that the toy or blanket will come home with you. So, if your cat has an extra special toy or blanket, we recommend to leave it at home.

While our cattery is not a veterinary clinic, we understand that some guests may require ongoing medication during their stay. We are happy to administer certain prescribed medications, provided they are clearly labeled and accompanied by detailed instructions from a licensed vet. This service is offered on a case by case basis, depending on the nature of the medication and the individual needs of the cat.

We will always make every effort to ensure your pet is comfortable and well cared for. However, please note that some medical conditions may require the expertise and facilities of a veterinary hospital. In such cases, we will advise that a cattery may not be the appropriate environment for your pet’s well being.

If agreement for guest care is made. A Medical care waiver form may be required.

All medications must be:

  • provided by the owner
  • clearly labelled with dosage and administration details from your vet.
  • We would be grateful if tablets are pre-cut according to dosage instructions

Note that all boarding’s consent to a provision to a Veterinarian where we deem needed for a guest care. Any cost incurred will be  added to the cost of your board.

Every guest must have a current vaccination prior to checking in. Cats that have not been vaccinated for more than 12 months should be vaccinated no less than ten (10) days before arrival.

The minimum vaccination for boarding is F3 – we are unable to accept cats with the F2/Ducat vaccination.

By law; vaccination certificates must be sighted by Catshack upon or prior to arrival. If you are unable to locate the certificate, please request your vet email us a copy prior to your booking at Catshack.
